John Kerry…Stupid yet again.

"You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."-Senator John Kerry

John "the flip flopper" Kerry is a disgrace to himself, his party, and his country. As I speak he is being lambasted by the public for his statement, and rightly so. His statement was inappropriate, unpatriotic, and simply stupid, which is par for the course when talking about Kerry.

In fact, I have a friend who is serving in Iraq right now and allow me to tell you that he is educated, very educated. He is amongst the few who understand the security of the people of this nation is at risk and told me, "It is my duty and obligation to defend the country I live in. I would much rather bring the fight to them then them bring the fight to the U.S." This friend of mine, Mike, whom I last saw in Washington D.C. before he shipped out, demonstrates ultimate patriotism. He is a Stanford undergraduate and a Harvard Law Graduate who enlisted in the Marines and insisted to start out as a grunt, when as a highly educated enlistee he would have been immediately given a commission. When I asked him why he didn't take the commission from the start he replied, "I wanted to learn to take orders before I gave them." Mike is now a captain in Iraq performing special operations with many other Marines like him...very educated. So I ask Kerry, is Mike the kind of individual he was criticizing when he stuck his foot in it on Monday?

John Kerry, like his party, has once again demonstrated that they are incapable of leading this nation, especially in a time of war! Senator John Kerry, you and the people like you should be forever grateful that there are men like Mike and many others out their protecting our country at the risk of their own lives, for if they were not you wouldn't have been allowed to make the statement you did.

Political suicide is cool.

Apparently Mr. Kerry was trying to figure out the best way to ruin his political career - he's found it.

Insulting our troops is absurd. I don't think there are very many people who can disagree with that.

I find your thoughts interesting. Are you a professor of political thought? You know what's going on.

What do you think about the midterm elections on Tuesday? What will be the outcome? Does Kerry really help the Rupublicans? I think so.

Dear Bryne:

I most definitely believe that Kerry's statement has devastated the Democrats base and hope the country realizes that comments like such are only ever stated by Democrats.

Kerry has ruined his political career and with hopes ruined the democrats possibility of wining these midterm elections. This statement could not have come at a better time for the Republicans.

For the sake of our country I hope the American people vote accordingly and keep this country the superpower that it is.

Potomack,

As much as I'd like to think Kerry's actions would sway voters towards the Republicans, I'm going to have to disagree with you and predict that we'll have a democratic Congress after Tuesday. Keep the Ted Haggard row in mind, too - not to mention the Foley incident. I'd say that Kerry's comment probably swayed a few votes, but the Democratic Party's reaction was proactive enough to ostracize Kerry.

Of course, only time will tell...

To der meister:

Neither Haggard or Foley is running for office. Should the Dems take the House tomorrow, it won't be because of anything other than the idiocy of the common Democratic American who can expect higher taxes, a pull out in Iraq with the terrorists following the soldiers to the States, and a decimation of the military.

The Democratic party swept congress because the American people desire change - and they'll get it with another party. The discussion was about rows, so I thought I'd point out the various scandals the Republican party has been nailed with in the past few months. I didn't say that was enough to lose an election.

Before I start sounding like I support the Democratic party, allow me to point out that I'm sorely disappointed in the results of this election. I just expected them.
